Connect Notion to Laylight and the context inside it becomes answerable, with a citation back to the Notion record every answer came from.

What Laylight reads

Pages and databases you share with the connector, including page bodies, database properties, owners and last-edited timestamps.

Access is read-only and scoped to what you connect. Laylight does not write to, modify or delete anything in Notion.

What it adds to your context

Internal documentation, specifications and tracker rows, with their structured properties intact. A database row arrives as an entity with typed fields, not as a paragraph of text.

How it works

You share the pages and databases you want indexed with the Laylight integration. Database properties are read as structured attributes, so status, owner and date fields stay queryable rather than being flattened into prose. Because Notion is usually where a team writes down what it has decided, it tends to be the source Laylight cites when a question is about intended process rather than what actually happened.

Because Laylight resolves entities across every connected system, a Notion answer is not limited to Notion. The same customer, project or person referred to here is understood to be the same one referred to in the other systems you connect, so an answer drawn from Notion can be cross-checked against the document, ticket or thread elsewhere that describes the same thing.

  • What is the status of this item in our tracker?
  • Does what we documented match what the team actually did?

Each answer names the Notion record it came from, with its timestamp, so you can open the source and check it rather than taking the summary on trust.

How the connection is authorised

You connect Notion through its own OAuth flow and choose the scope Laylight may index. Laylight never receives your Notion password, stores its access token encrypted, and loses access the moment you revoke the connection. See Security for the full detail.
