About Laylight

What the company is

Laylight builds a context layer for AI in organisations. The product connects to the systems a company already works in, resolves the entities and relationships spread across them, and answers questions about the organisation with a citation back to the source system for every claim.

It is infrastructure rather than a destination. Laylight does not ask teams to move their knowledge into another application; it reads the systems where that knowledge already lives and makes it legible to people, applications and agents.

Why we are building it

Useful intelligence depends on context, not only on model capability. Without it, an AI system can answer fluently while missing the history, relationships, constraints and provenance that make an answer worth acting on. A confident answer with no traceable source is not usable inside a company that has to stand behind its decisions.

So provenance is not a feature bolted onto the product. It is the product. Every answer Laylight returns points at the message, document, issue or row it came from, and the person reading it can open that source and check.

Who it is for

Teams building or adopting AI across complex organisations, particularly where important context is spread across documents, conversations, tickets, repositories, databases and internal systems. It is useful for people who need clearer answers, agents that need dependable context before acting, and applications that need to understand organisational state.
